Latest Man Of Steel Poster Lands
Here comes Supes!

Oi, Kal-El! Clark Kent! Superbloke! Whatever your name is… A word in your Kryptonian shell-like if we might: flying at incredible speeds with your mouth slightly open is a recipe for disaster. Or at least it’s a recipe for bugs and possibly seagulls getting sucked into your gob, and no one wants their superhero to be coughing as he lands to stop evildoers. Just trying to be helpful as your new Man Of Steel poster arrives, okay?

But slightly cracked mush (he probably has some super-powered force thing going on to avoid bug splatter) aside, Henry Cavill is looking every inch the hero in the new one-sheet for Man Of Steel. As we draw nearer to the release for Zack Snyder’s take on the world’s most iconic comic book character, the promotion has been fairly reserved (compared to, say, the barrage of promotion for other blockbusters) - but there's still time for it to ramp up.

The story remains mostly the same (albeit tweaked by Christopher Nolan and David Goyer): Kal-El is sent to Earth and adopted by wholesome, humane farm folk Jonathan (Kevin Costner) and Martha (Diane Lane) Kent. There, he assumes the identity of Clark Kent and struggles to blend in with humanity while dealing with the fact that he’s a god amongst ants.

Then General Zod (Michael Shannon) shows up, demanding that Kal-El pledge allegiance to him lest he start destroying this planet that his fellow Kryptonian has come to love and cherish. And that’s without investigative journalist Lois Lane (Amy Adams) nosing around this remarkable mystery man.

Man Of Steel lands on June 14. The latest trailer can be found lurking below and for lots more on the movie, pick up the new issue of Empire in shops or on the iPad…

Zzzz...
This poster is targeted to the biggest section of the American audience: idiots. And they needed to tell the stupid Yanks that this really is Superman-movie. More

RE:
/font] ved all promotional materials for this so far but not really feeling that. Looks like a 5 minute Photoshop job that just cut that shot out of the trailer, stuck it over a skyline and applied a blur filter.t=calibri] t=calibri]The one sheet for this should have been iconic! Should have based the design around the silhouetted shot of him exiting the Fortress of Solitude… as that shot looks truly iconic!  t=calibri] t=calibri]Either way, it's still a 99% hit rate for the Mo More

RE: ...he's back
Yep. I like the poster. I see that they are using the "big names" more now in the promotion and hence on the poster... Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Lawrence Fishburne, Russell Crowe... that is one heck of a cast. The TV spot is also awesome. The more I see of this movie... the more I wanna see it. More
