Thor: The Dark World Teaser Online
'I gave you my word I would return'

23 April 2013  |  Written by Helen O'Hara  |  Source: Marvel

A first look at Thor: The Dark World has arrived online this morning, and it's looking like things will indeed be bigger, badder and a fair bit darker for the sequel to 2011's Norse blockbuster.

This time, Chris Hemsworth's Thor is back on Earth to defend us all against the deadly forces of Malkeith (Christopher Eccleston), leader of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim. Well, at the very least he's here to pick up Natalie Portman and get her out of harm's way, which we suppose is close enough. And it looks from this like he's going to need help from his disgraced brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston). Hooray! Er. We mean, boo hiss. Let's hope he gets hold of his horned helmet and/or some hair conditioner soon.

The whole thing is directed by Game Of Thrones' Alan Taylor - which perhaps explains all those warm looking cloaks (after all, winter is coming) - and also stars Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins, Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Jaime Alexander, Kat Dennings, Rene Russo, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Tadanobu Asano.

Thor: The Dark World hits cinemas on November 1, and we're guessing that this teaser trailer could well hit the big screen ahead of stablemate Iron Man 3 this very week.

Oooops
Not to totally discount my last comment, but as most of the conflict appears to be off world, maybe a bit of a let off for an explaination as to why the rest of the avengers aren't in this. Discuss? More

So, basically...
...they put Loki in a glass cage with no scissors but at least a razor? Either that or he is incapable of growing a beard to go with those wavy locks. ;) Can't wait, really. Excited for this one. More

RE: Thor: The Dark World Teaser Online
Looks like it will be entertaining ride. Must say I enjoyed the humour in the 1st film, so I'm hoping that stays. It's always good to see Thor and Loki again - Hemsworth and Hiddleston have great chemistry together. And gotta love their fabulous hair - L'Oreal advert in the offing? More

thor 3
for the next thor movie (thor 3) id love to see a female villian because in all the superhero movies ther either isnt a female super villian or if there is she is acted out as pure shite, thor the comics has loads of female villian that are cool and would be great to see brought to screen like for instance loki's daughter hella the goddess of the underworld and also amora the enchantress More

Avengers Help?
Again this begs the question of the other avengers where abouts. If this isn't pausibly explained then the film will lose all credibility surely, hence massive fail!!! I can see the exposition now, "Thor where's your buddies!!!!!!!", ....."Gone to the cinema watching this movie!!!!".....Doh! More
