R.I.P.D. Gets Glowing Gun-Toting Poster
You're being very undead, Dude...

The director of The Time Traveller's Wife and RED, Robert Schwentke, has also directed the upcoming R.I.P.D., an action thriller based on the Dark Horse comic series Rest In Peace Department. It stars Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds; something you may have guessed from the brand new poster below...

Reynolds plays Nick Cruz Walker, a young cop at the peak of his career plucked off this mortal coil by an unknown assailant. In exchange for 100 years working for the Big Man - that's God, by the way - in the Rest In Peace Department he gets a shot at finding out who did it and why...

Jeff Bridges is fellow undead detective Roy Powell, the experienced member of the ghosty po-po who shows Walker the ethereal ropes. From the looks of the poster, there's a certain Men In Black vibe to this one, not just because of the secret organisation but also because of the shiny weapons...

R.I.P.D. will rise from the dead - or, alternatively, appear in cinemas - come July 19 in the US, with the UK getting it come August 30.

Looks a little flashy, but whatever gets me into a cinema with Jeff Bridges on the screen for a few hours, I am ok with. More
