Final Oz The Great And Powerful Trailer
James Franco's off to be the wizard

Sam Raimi’s big stab at fantasy – and L. Frank Baum’s world in particular – Oz The Great And Powerful finally lands on our screens this month. So Disney is launching the final promo assault with the new trailer, available to watch over at Apple.

Oz would be Oscar Diggs (James Franco), an ethically challenged sideshow magician fleecing the locals in every town his travelling circus visits and bedding all manner of gullible young women.

But Oscar thinks he can be a better person and wants more out of life, even if he’s not ready to commit to one person (Michelle Williams’ Annie).

Then, while making his escape from an angry husband, Oscar’s balloon is caught in a twister and he ends up in the land of Oz, meets three witches (Williams’ Glinda, Rachel Weisz’ Evanora and Mila Kunis’ Theodora) and finds he’s the apparently the subject of a prophecy: Oscar is supposed to defeat the Wicked Witch and win back the throne of the Emerald City for the forces of good. But who can he trust? Who is telling the truth? And does he have it within himself to be truly good, let alone great or powerful?

With Zach Braff, Tony Cox, Joey King and, yes, Bruce Campbell among the cast, Oz The Great And Powerful arrives as prophesised on March 8.

Looks good
I didn’t know what to think when I heard that there was going to be some form of The Wizard of Oz remake, reboot, or prequel. I forgot all about it, but I work at DISH with a girl who has been looking forward to it for a while, and she mentioned that it it’s in theaters. The trailer looks interesting so I’m adding this one to my Blockbuster @Home queue that I have through DISH. Despite that this movie just opened in theaters, they let me add it to my queue now so I don’t More
