New Oblivion Posters Online
Tom Cruise, meet Morgan Freeman

27 February 2013  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Entertainment Weekly

The parade of Oblivion posters continues today with two new images featuring Tom Cruise (natch, he’s been in them all so far) and now Morgan Freeman. Check out the two new arrivals, along with two previous examples, below.

We must admit that the one with Cruise and Freeman looks like a futuristic remake of Se7en, with Cruise taking over from Brad Pitt.

But before David Fincher or New Line get on the blower to their lawyers, let’s move on. Of course, Oblivion is actually Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski’s latest, set on a blasted future Earth left wrecked by battles with an alien menace.

Cruise stars as a repair worker named Jack Harper who must fix the robotic drones that keep scavengers at bay as most of humanity lives in floating cities above the surface. Jack thinks he knows what’s going on, but when a spaceship crashes on the planet containing a mysterious, beautiful woman (Olga Kurylenko), he discovers that’s definitely not the case.

Oblivion aims to bake your noodle and indulge a love for sci-fi action. It’ll hit screens on April 12.
