Catching Fire Posters Online
Katniss & Peeta take a Victory Tour

23 February 2013  |  Written by James White  |  Source: The Hollywood Reporter

What do you do if you’re somehow able to not only survive the Hunger Games, but also keep your pal alive too? If you’re Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), you’re packed off on a Victory Tour of the 12 districts. The first character posters for Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire focus on that, and you can see them below.

They come off as a cross between a propaganda image (which they definitely are) and a warped fashion shoot (which, given the Capitol’s obsession with freaky stylings, also works) as the evil President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and his government send Peeta and Katniss off on the tour as part of the manipulative aura of the Games.

With the resistance movement growing in the various districts, Katniss must keep her true feelings for both Peeta (not as romantic as their public image suggests) and the government hidden as she tries to figure out ways to help those trying to end the Capitol’s tyranny.

Snow, however, has plans of his own – throwing our heroes back into the Arena as part of the Quarter Quell celebrations to take on other former champions.

With Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Sam Claflin all aboard, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will arrive on November 22.

Your Comments

This photo perfectly matches the propaganda of the Capital, and it definitely is true to the tone of this book. I can’t wait to see how everything comes together, and in the meantime, I am glad that I can watch The Hunger Games, and other movies, with Blockbuster @Home from DISH. It’s great that with my late work schedule at DISH; my movies are delivered so quickly in the mail. I also love having the option of in store exchanges when I forget to mail back a movie I’ve watched. More
