Amazing Spider-Man 2 Now Shooting
Colm Feore is now aboard

06 February 2013  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Hitfix

That The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is now cranking its cameras in New York should come as no surprise to anyone who follows director Marc Webb’s Twitter account. He’s been talking about gearing up the shoot for a couple of days now, and tweeting the odd pic (such as the piece of Oscorp gear you see above.) But Sony has now released an official start-of-production notice along with a synopsis, and lists Colm Feore amongst the cast.

So what’s happening in Peter Parker’s world now? Let's ask the synopsis! “In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough.

“Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.” Thanks, synopsis. You were very helpful.

Also mentioned on the cast list are Sally Field, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti (though the studio is not yet saying whether he’s actually the Rhino) and Feore, whose role is not listed. Could he be Norman Osborn (to DeHaan’s Harry)? Or perhaps he’s the new NYPD chief, taking over from the deceased Captain Stacy? We’ll find out in due course when The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits our screens on April 18 next year.

Cool!
I've always considered Colm Feore to be a 27-percenter. Although my favourite actor in the whole world ever is Mr. Paul Giamatti, so I've already up for this. I'd happily watch the dude sleep. More
