Star Trek Sequel's Klingons Revealed
In the prequel comic book

You’ve got to wonder why the Klingon Empire – a proud, warrior race, after all – puts up with being messed around by JJ Abrams. In his first Star Trek film, they were relegated to the netherworld of the editing room floor, a mere deleted scene afterthought. But for Into Darkness, we’ve been promised more Klingon action, and the prequel comic to the new film appears to bear that out. Check out the cover for issue four below.

Star Trek Countdown To Darkness Issue Four

Countdown To Darkness is touted as bridging the gap between the first outing for Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg and the rest as the iconic Enterprise crew and where we find them in Darkness.

By the time we catch up with Kirk and co, they’re more integrated and approaching the rapport of the classic crew from the original series. Albeit with less respect…

They’ll need to be working together, as Benedict Cumberbatch’s villain is plotting something terrible from within the core of the Federation itself. How the Klingons factor into that is anyone’s guess right now as Abrams and the Bad Robotniks are, naturally, playing coy.

Star Trek Into Darkness beams in on May 17. Check out the accouncement trailer below.
