First Official Pic From The World's End
Simon Pegg tweets a first look

21 December 2012  |  Written by Helen O'Hara  |  Source: Simon Pegg's Twitter

To mark the end of principal photography and, we like to think, as a Christmas present to fans, Simon Pegg has tweeted the first official still from The World's End, his reunion with director Edgar Wright and Nick Frost. It's the story of an apocalyptic pub crawl (aren't they all?) and so seems singularly suited for today when, er, no apocalypse has actually occurred despite predictions.

The film sees Pegg play a slacker who reunites a group of friends to finish the pub crawl they abandoned years ago. Unfortunately, they're interrupted by some sort of large-scale event marking the end of days. Which is even more of a downer than an ill-timed chunder in your evening plans.

This still shows Pegg's slightly Goth look, which couldn't be more of a contrast to Hot Fuzz's clean-cut Nick Angel. He's surrounded by the rest of the gang - Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Eddie Marsan  and Paddy Considine. We are, naturally, looking forward to seeing this final instalment of the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy.

The World's End also stars Rosamund Pike, and hits cinemas on August 14, 2013.

I worked on this movie, the cast and crew were so nice and really friendly, especially Martin Freeman who had a lot of time for everyone. Cant wait to see the final product! More
