We’ll hand it to director James Mangold and the 20th Century Fox marketing team – they’re treating us all to some stylish imagery to promote The Wolverine. We got an arty teaser poster for the film in October and now a motion poster is online and can be seen below.
The Wolverine finds Hugh Jackman’s Logan headed to present-day Tokyo, where he where he falls for the mysterious Mariko and becomes embroiled in a brutal gang war.
Out of his depth, we're told that he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before. You know, the usual.
This latest poster is certainly nifty, making full use of the motion aspect for pouring rain (he’s lucky adamantium doesn’t rust!), raging storm and flickering lights of the city. And no title, either! Wolverine sells himself.
Hopefully a trailer will be headed our way soon. The Wolverine itself arrives in 3D on July 26. You can see Mangold and Jackman discussing the film below.
sounds like they've got it figured out hopefully that will translate to the screen and the fans will get the wolverine film they've been clucking for More

Wolverine
I vaguely remember reading a Wolverine mini-series in the 80s involving him vs some Yakuza. I vaguely remember being unimpressed. There's only so far you can take the novelty of his claws vs samurai swords before it gets seriously repetitively boring, so the rest of the story better be good. More
