Les Miserables Premiere
Masters o'the house dolin' out the charm

06 December 2012  |  Written by Helen O'Hara

Les Miserable Premiere- Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jakcman and Amanda Seyfried

Despite the cold, no-one appeared miserable at the London premiere of Les Miserables in Leicester Square last night. Only a street away from the theatre where the show plays nightly, the stars of the film walked the red carpet with the warm glow of people already seeing their film tipped for Oscars.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given that the film was shot here in the UK, virtually the entire cast were on hand to launch the film. Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Samantha Barks, Helena Bonham-Carter and Sacha Baron-Cohen were all in town, along with younger cast members Daniel Huttlestone and Isabelle Allen.

Director Tom Hooper also attended, and the film received a rapturous applause from the audience in attendance - even by the standards of premieres. Look out for Les Miserables in UK cinemas on January 11, or in the US on December 25.
