Latest Jack Reacher Clip Online
Bad guys are Cruising for a bruising

We’re creeping ever closer to Tom Cruise bringing Lee Child’s Jack Reacher to our screens, and now a new clip from the film is online courtesy of IGN. Look to the top of the page to see Jack in action – but beware of stray elbows.

This latest snippet is, of course, intended to demonstrate once and for all that Cruise has what it takes to embody Child’s bruiser of a vigilante. To be honest, he pulls it off nicely, schooling the five thugs who think they’ve cornered an easy target in the art of pain.

Jack Reacher, adapted from Child’s book One Shot by writer/director Chris McQuarrie, finds the title character called in when a former military sniper stands accused of killing five people during a shooting spree.

He insists he’s innocent and demands that Reacher investigate. But when Jack peels back the layers of the case, he discovers much more danger that he initially figured, especially from mysterious crime figure The Zec, played by Werner Herzog.

With Rosamund Pike, David Oyelowo, Richard Jenkins, Robert Duvall and Jai Courtney among the cast, Jack Reacher arrives in UK cinemas on December 26, when he’ll make boxing day take on a new meaning. Set the clock in your head for it now.

If you want a little more Reacher action, the most recent international trailer (aimed at the Japanese market) is also online...

Aaaaannnnd.... still no.
I love the books, and I generally have nothing against Cruise's films (well, the action ones, not the ones where he attempts to "act"), but no. This scene just doesn't work for me at all. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it does hinge around Cruise's acting and ability to fit the role. They're just not gelling for me at all. Ah well, given that I've had to plummet from 20+ films a month to maybe one film every 2 months (new baby!) at least it means I can take this one out of m More

Looks ok
I dont like that Tom Cruise is reacher if I am honest. I think this guy should have been.. Was in the unit as a special ops guy and looks the part in my mind. Take a look. http://goo.gl/Rm2wE More

Reaching for new heights.
I must say I never had a problem with the whole height difference thing just wanted an actor less known who hadn't had so many big roles so when you saw him on the film you thought that's Jack Reacher not that's Tom Cruise he's Playing Jack Reacher. But after seeing the footage not just his fighting but also his style and wit in his performance I really have a good feeling about this. I'm excited!! More

great scene!
I'd much rather have Tom Cruise in all his 5.5ft glory be convincingly Reacher-esque than some 6.5ft bruiser who can't act. More

He may not be 6.5ft..
.. but I'm hopeful that Jacks character and the way the books read, translates on to the screen to produce a hit film deserved of the brilliant novels. More
