New Oz Trailer Arrives
Sam Raimi's latest also gets a poster

14 November 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Yahoo / YouTube

And so, the prophecy has come to pass. All right, so less a prophecy and more a new trailer and the third of the linked posters for Sam Raimi’s Oz The Great And Powerful. The final piece of the triptych, which actually features most of the leads (Including James Franco, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz) is now online and can be seen below.

Put together like some sort of poster Voltron, they finally make sense of the eerie first image and that slightly crowded second release.

You can take a look at all three separately and the combined effect in the gallery below.

Oz The Great And Powerful finds Franco as small-time circus magician Oscar Diggs. An incorrigible chancer and lothario, his latest bout of bad behaviour forces him to flee in a hot air balloon.

But he’s swept away to the magical land of Oz, where he’s mistaken as a great and powerful wizard. He delights in what he thinks is hitting a jackpot, until he meets three witches – Glinda (Williams), Theodora (Kunis) and Evanora (Weisz) – and discovers the true problems facing the place.

He’ll have to learn to fix things quickly – and become a better man in the process. We’ll see the finished film on March 8 next year.

RE: Hmmm
I do like James Franco but I think he is totally miscast judging from the trailer. He isn't capable of bombastic which this role appears to crave. More

Hmmm
Could be interesting but I think the main poster is a bit naff, albeit colourful but naff all the same. Even if its good I doubt it will be as memorable as Walter Murch's disturbing Return to Oz (1985). More
