Tracking the hunt for Osama Bin Laden, then the world’s most wanted man, Zero Dark Thirty follows the operational struggles, the bureaucratic nightmare and the troops on the ground who carried out the various operations.
Bigelow and writer/producer Mark Boal have gathered a top-notch cast to bring the events to life, with Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Joel Edgerton, Mark Strong, Edgar Ramirez, James Gandolfini, Chris Pratt, Jennifer Ehle and Kyle Chandler among them.
We’re particularly intrigued to see Pratt’s continued growth as a dramatic actor, even if there’s some tiny part of our brain that wants to imagine it was Andy Dwyer from Parks & Recreation who helped track down one of the world’s most notorious terrorist leaders. Or is that Burt Macklin, FBI?
Zero Dark Thirty lands in the US on December 19 and will be out on January 25 over here.
