Taken 3 Could Happen
Fox wants more trouble at t'Mills

You would think that no-one would consider defying Liam Neeson - and certainly not after the events of Taken 2. But 20th Century Fox and Taken co-writer/producers Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen are considering doing just that in the quest for more films about Bryan Mills. In the wake of the sequel’s big box-office launch across the pond, Kamen now says that they want to start developing Taken 3.

Yes, even though Neeson himself cast doubt on the idea while talking to this very magazine’s podcast crew (you can find the full sound file below), it would appear that the lure of more money is too great for the studio.

"We didn't start talking about Taken 3 until we saw the numbers," Kamen tells Hollywood.com. "But then we said, 'Oh, okay. I think we should do a third one.' And Fox wants us to do a third one."

But thankfully, it appears all involved have realised that some new ground will need to be broken, lest we end up with dognapping antics in Taken 6: Ruff Justice. "We've taken everyone we can take — it's going to go in another direction. Should be interesting." And, hopefully, back to an R-rating...

RE:RE: To be sure
As much as I like the idea that by the time we get to TAKEN 4 it would be an Animated V/O movie at U certificate... I think we need to hope that if TAKEN 3 comes along thgat it could still return to form. (But then again who am I kidding). But you never know - someone might actually have a good idea for the script. Hell don't even call it taken - just make it a story about Mills in action. No-one needs to get kidnapped. i think if the producers/writers think about it to that extent and realise More

RE: Taken 3 Could Happen
Watch this last night! I was thinking Empire where being knobs!! but alas they where dead right on this one!!! complete and utter shit stinker! . My wife and I laughed out loud on more than one occasion (and not in any funny bits, of which there is none anyway). more so, we laughed at the dreadful script, the worst editing I have EVER seen in any movie, and the ridiculous and Mr Mills Vulkan Death grip!! I cover your mouth!! you dead!! I am that lethal!!. WHAT THE F**K!!!. worst movie I have s More

RE: "back to an R-rating"?
How about the title for the next one: Taken 3 - Taken For A Ride or Taken To The Cleaners (though maybe Take'n The Piss is a little too much?) More

"back to an R-rating"?
How can it go back to an R rating, it's never been an R rated series? Both films were made to fit the PG-13 rating in the US. The first was deemed worthy of a 15 over here (just like The Transporter films and Lockout) with the 18 only given to the "Unrated" version on DVD thanks to one small torture scene, More

Taken 3...
Well perhaps the only direction they could go in would to be to take his dog or his budgie - the cat maybe or even...his soul...one things for sure they wont be taking any money out of his bank account as i am sure people ( and i shamefully include myself in this category ) will flock to see the next installment of the ever growing franchise - now consider this there are 3 main protagonists in the movie and this will be the 3rd installment ( see where i am going with this ) so perhaps each fami More

Holy Christ, No.
If Neeson agrees to this his stock will take a massive nosedive, with me anyway. Taken 2 was a big ol' pile of shite and the prospect of another one is something I welcome as much as having my nuts hacked off with a rusty blade. Incidentally, a scene involving this would actually have vastly improved Taken 2 although no chance of that when you're targeting the kiddie crowd! More

How bizarre!
My flatmate and I just saw this yesterday! It's a shamless actioner and Liam Neeson is great as the Aids-ridden greengrocer, I mean, the arse kicking Mills! We were just wondering if they'd make a Taken 3 and agreed that they would have to go in a new direction but keep the characters. Could be the next Die Hard franchise... sorry Mr Neeson :D More

I can't believe they're actually outright admitting that the only reason they're doing a third one is for the money. At least most studios have the decency to pretend sequels are for the story... More
