We’ve already had a quick look at some footage and the first main trailer for Ang Lee’s adaptation of Life Of Pi. Now comes a new international-flavoured promo (in English with Vietnamese subtitles) that offers snippets of new material. Take a look above.
Li Of Pi charts the amazing story of young Piscine Molitor 'Pi' Patel (Suraj Sharma), an Indian boy from Pondicherry. When his parents decide to take their family zoo halfway across the world, the ill-fated voyage ends abruptly with our hero in a lifeboat. And if being stranded in the middle of the ocean wasn’t enough, he also has to survive alongside a hungry Bengal tiger, a zebra and an orang-utan. We can only imagine the smell.
Of course, the movie – taken from Yann Martel’s magical realist fable by screenwriter David Magee – is about much more than that, as this trailer makes clear.
There’s plenty of positive buzz about Lee’s latest, which docks here on December 21. The big question will be whether any film can represent Martel’s novel. We’re about to find out…

MEH
I agree that was a shit trailer. Paradise by Coldplay is a great song but all wrong for the trailer. It cheapened the suffering that Pi goes through. Still hope the film turns out as good as the book! More

WOW
That was not a good trailer at all.
The first trailer was so epic and cinematic, this makes it look like a TV movie.
Just finished the book and can't wait to see the film. More
