Paddy Considine Joins The World's End
Hot Fuzz thesp back with the gang

06 September 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Variety

Paddy Considine Joins The World's End

Huzzah for quality thespians! Though he’s now a big shot, award-winning director thanks to Tyrannosaur, Paddy Considine is still happy to show up for acting jobs. And given his hilarious work in Hot Fuzz, we’re thrilled to see him join the World’s End cast for Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

In case there is anyone left who doesn’t know about this, Wright and Pegg have now written what will become the third serving of their unofficial Cornetto Trilogy, following Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz. The World’s End finds five old friends who reunite to go on a drinking marathon across several pubs, ending up at the titular watering hole. But while they spend the time reconciling their past with the disappointing present, they also realise they’re part of the struggle for the future of humanity. Hope they’ve got hog lumps to spare…

Considine is on to play a former musician who was a real charmer with the ladies. He’s now grown up into a divorced architect.

Rosamund Pike joined the film last month, with Wright gearing up to shoot this month and the boys in front of the camera presumably making sure their pint-lifting arms are in full working order. Considine will next be seen in Now Is Good (due September 19), and has worked on both Honour and Girl On A Bicycle. He’s also attached to zombie tale Maggie.
