New Poster For The Master Arrives
Can you spell 'kaleidoscope'?

After its immensely impressive trailer and a very intriguing first poster comes the second one-sheet for Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master, boasting the pretty faces of its stars, Joaquin Phoenix, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams, over and over and over.

It's been five long years since There Will Be Blood, so Paul Thomas Anderson fans will be eagerly awaiting every last snippet from his not-about-Scientology-honest tale, with Hoffman playing cult leader Lancaster Dodd, Adams his wife, Mary Sue, and Phoenix the damaged WWII veteran drawn into this newly-founded religious organisation.

Hoffman is on record saying that there's no direct connection with L. Ron Hubbard, but that hasn't stopped many from drawing lines between the fiction and the fact.

As for the poster, it might not be quite as subtle as the previous one-sheet, but there's definitely something about the three leads' idealised, almost Soviet propaganda-style poses. Something... sinister, perhaps?

The Master is set for a September 21 US release and a November 9 UK release, so everyone will have have time to watch it before the Oscars. Kaleidoscopic.
