Play Fix-It Felix Jr Online
Wreck-It Ralph goes viral

11 June 2012  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Disney (Via Collider)

Play Fix-It Felix Jr Online

Disney Animation is stepping up its promotion of the company’s latest big release, Wreck-It Ralph, with a fun little piece of online gaming. If you head over to the company’s site, you can play Fix-It Felix Jr, the game that the movie’s (anti)hero appears in, styled after a classic ‘80s coin-op title.

Of course, Kids Today with their Halos and their Calls Of Duty and their Xbox motion sensor gadgets might sneer at a throwback to the likes of Rampage. But for those of a certain age, it’s likely to provoke dewy memories of time spent in arcades getting RSI by feverishly punching buttons and pushing joysticks. We remember when this was all fields etc, etc...

Anyhoo, Wreck-It Ralph the movie promises to cater to gamers of every age, telling the story of how Fix-It’s villain, Ralph (John C Reilly) has become sick and tired of being the bad guy everyone hates. And who can really blame him when a successful completion of each level sees him thrown off the roof of the building he destroys simply because the game tells him to? So he heads out into the wider arcade world to see if there’s more out there than just being bad, and accidentally dooms every pixel and sprite around.

With Jane Lynch, Jack McBrayer and Sarah Silverman also among the voice cast, Wreck-It Ralph won’t hit our screens until February 15 next year.
