Four New Dark Knight Rises Banners
The Bat, the Cat & the Bane in action

24 May 2012  |  Written by James White

After the recent onslaught of imagery, you may think there are no possible pictures left from The Dark Knight Rises that could be turned into posters. But you would be wrong! There are four new banners on the magical Interwebs, and they can be found below.

We really are not going to be allowed to forget that Chris Nolan is bringing his Bat-trilogy to a close with this final, Gotham-shattering instalment. And let’s be honest, why would we want to?

With Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne / Batman dealing with the biggest threat his faced, in the shape of the hulking Bane (Tom Hardy) and tangling with friend-or-foe cat burglar Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway), we’re already all excited at the idea.

The new banners may not be revolutionary, but we'd put any of 'em on our walls. The Dark Knight Rises arrives on July 20.

But if you’re truly after new pics and some actual, in-depth, on-set detail about Rises, you’ll be wanting to snatch up a copy of Empire’s Bat-tastic new issue, which hits shops and the iPad on Thursday May 31. It’s crammed with exclusive peeks at the new movie and a look back at the entire Nolan run. Oh! And free posters to boot. Don’t say we don’t ever do anything nice for you.

Check out an exclusive preview of our massive feature and the covers below.

Empire's Dark Knight Rises issue - out Thursday 31 May.

i wish they'd give us a decent image without all the crap slogans, every image is ruined by some irrelevant watermarked tosh, the images have excited me a little though, I’m not going to stop worrying about this till I see it, if they jump straight in with Nightwing it’s a mistake, it would undermine the whole relationship, if they were going to introduce Dick it should have been a movie ago, it’s a little annoying that they are building Bane up to be the villain, I get More

RE: Who he?
@cawykes I was talking to my photography teacher about this and he thinks that Nightwing is going to appear because of the kid spraying graffiti in the newest trailer and I recon that Bane is probably going to snap Batman's back like the comics, as for a villian, maybe the scarecrow might reappear... Who he?
For some reason my eye is drawn to the man standing on top of the big truck on the Bane banner. Is he important? I still think there is a twist in all this, a villain that links all films... More
