New Prometheus Featurette Online
The adventure begins

New Prometheus Featurette Online

It’s no secret that we here at Empire Towers are slightly excited about the arrival of Ridley Scott’s return to science fiction and, more obliquely, to the Alien universe. Heck, we devoted a chunk of the last issue to it. So the chance to get a gander at more is one we won’t let pass: there’s a new featurette on Prometheus over at Apple’s iTunes trailer page.

Naturally, we’ll offer the usual warning that those who are still looking to walk into their local cinema without having seen much of anything should skip this, but we figure the true spoilerphobes will already have clicked away.

There really is very little that could be truly called a spoiler here, since the footage snippets are miniscule and everyone is on their best soundbite behaviour as they talk about how excited they are to work on the movie and, in the case of the cast, with Scott. But there are some teeny tiny new glimpses at material.

Prometheus finally arrives on June 1. It’s so close now. So, so close… And, as a reminder, you can still find the issue of the magazine focused on the film on the iPad edition.

I feel your pain as we share the same major bone of contention it pisses me of a great deal, on the up side you can usually get what apple offers on you tube. More

RE:
Be nice if Empire could stop sucking up Apples ass and maybe one day link to a site which doesn't involve having to install 7GB of useless software just to watch a video clip. More

RE: Why no Hobbit???
Empire have grown too big an are too up close and snuggly with too many big directors. Prometheus is guaranteed a 4 or 5 star review here, no matter how it turns out. More

RE: Why no Hobbit???
I agree, I keep checking Empire to see what their view was on the footage, if they'll ever post it. More

Well, Ridley Scott IS great ...
... so there's that. Not that I've looked at anything really about Prometheus. I want it fresh, fresh, fresh. Saw the trailer in 3D at the BFI IMAX and that's enough for me ... for now. I've gone a different way and read up on the original Prometheus myth. All I know is that it looks stunning, has a truly amazing cast and that someone's going to get their fingers burnt, metaphorically (or maybe even literally) speaking. More

RE: Why no Hobbit???
Apart from a few new shots this just seems like an advert for how great Ridley Scott is... More

Why no Hobbit???
This is all very interestin and I obviously can't wait for this to be released, but why is Empire not reporting on the rather mixed reaction to the release of ten minutes of Hobbit footage yesterday? More
