Madagascar 3 Teaser Trailer Arrives
Europe's Most Wanted

08 December 2011  |  Written by James White  |  Source: Yahoo UK

DreamWorks really does like its sequels, and because the animals of Madagascar have been fairly consistent earners for the company, they’re back with a third adventure. Or, given their usual luck, maybe it should be misadventure… Either way, the trailer can be clocked below.

This time around, lion Alex (Ben Stiller), zebra Marty (Chris Rock), hippo Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith) and giraffe Melman (David Schwimmer) have once more hatched a plan to get back to New York and the relative safety of their zoo home. But – for reasons that we’re sure will be explained at proper length in the film itself – they first need to stop in Monte Carlo to find the penguins, who are apparently living like rock stars in a casino.

A slight mishap later and the gang (plus crazy King Julien (Sacha Baron Cohen) and his entourage are on the run from the European authorities and, more specifically, a driven animal control expert voiced by Frances McDormand. Can they make it back by hiding out with a travelling circus? Well, probably, yes, given that this is a kiddie feel-good effort.

With a script largely driven by Noah Baumbach (yes, the man behind The Squid And The Whale, Greenberg and, perhaps more appropriately, Fantastic Mr Fox), Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted arrives on October 19.
