Ace New Planet Of The Apes Promos Land
It's Caesar meets Banksy

As Rupert Wyatt's ape invasion sweeps cinemas Stateside - the $54m Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes took at the US box office left Cowboys And Aliens with a seriously raw hide - it hardly needs a boost to fire up audiences in Blighty. Still, these eye-catching new posters are far too awesome to ignore.

Among all the floating heads and wonky photoshopping of recent months, it's good to see a poster design with a higher than average IQ. The Banksy look and smartly subverted take on Darwin's four stages work brilliantly, although if you find a chimp tagging your building later, you'll know who to blame. Click on these images for a closer look.

Wyatt's fresh take on Pierre Boulle's mythology goes back to the beginning with James Franco's scientist engaged in research on preternaturally smart ape Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his fellow chimps. Scientific tests on movie primates usually end in catastrophe (see also: 28 Days Later), and so it proves when... well, check out the trailer for more.

Epic
I love Banksy's work and these look a lot like his style. I think these are excellent and I wish studios would come up with more artist posters like these. Something to actually catch your eye. More
