The BSG remake can be permanently shelved as far as I'm concerned. As can this X-Men project. I'm surprised Singer wants to do this as he will surely be so limited in the mutants he can feature and the story he can tell. No Iceman, Shadowcat, Angel, Colossus, Pyro, Nightcrawler, Rogue, not to mention the most obvious, Wolverine. I too feel it would benefit from not being so Logan-centric, but still...
I'm just waiting for the day when Marvel buy back all their movie licences and make a Spi More

| RE: Bryan Singer Talks X-Men: First Class |
With the X Men series being so Wolverine heavy, I wonder what the general viewing public will think of an X film without him. I welcome it to be honest, especially with Singer back, but I think many may have the feeling of there be something missing throughout. Unfortunately, just keeping the fan-boys happy isn't enough to bring in the cash. Therefore, I bet they'll replace Logan with a similar type of character to centre the film around. Ca More

Great news - X2 was one of the best films this decade,
eally? I thought it was good, but not great.
o, I loved it. I had really high expectations going in, and they were met and exceeded. Easily the best comic-book movie.
Maybe that's just me though.

Great news - X2 was one of the best films this decade, and the first one was ace as well, so Singer returning to the series is no bad thing. Will also be great to actually see an X-Men film without Wolverine taking centre-stage.
Not sure why people are moaning about more X-Men films - there's plenty of Batman and Bond films, and it's not like there's a lack of plots or characters...

I'm kind of looking forward to this glad their going with a young Megneto and Prof X story. Didn't really bother with Wolverine as I'm not the biggest fan of the character but this I'll look out for.
James McAvoy as a young Magneto anyone?
f we're going on looks James Franco would be similar... More

While X Men Origins: First Class: Year 1: Cyclops and Friends sounds a pretty shit idea, it doesnt sound and wont turn out half as bad as a lot of people are making it out to be. Singer isnt untouchable in terms of film making but he clearly enjoys the series and his first 2 attempts were great.
Heres hoping for a a great addition to the series, though I really wish they would leave school behind and focus on other adventures with other mutants- its not like there are no choices left!

Who will play Xavier? If they bring back Paddy Stewart then that means they are going to piss around with that weird de-ageing CGI again.
Not quite willing to write this one off yet though (a lot of people though the first X movie was going to be shite before they saw it) And Singer hasn't made an actual bad movie yet. Superman was , at worst , average. and even that was well directed, just didn't have a strong enough story.
Young X men could be a good way to launch a to More

I just can't muster any excitement for this at all. I mean really, Young X-Men?
It's also slightly pathetic that Singer seems so eager to do it.
b]Between this and trying to remake the totally awesome BSG... Sheesh Young X-Men sounds teenie bopper film.

Double Yawn. I'm losing interest in comic book movies especially after watching the dire Spiderman 3 last night.
I'm hoping that was your first viewing. Because there is no reason to ever watch that film twice.
