Exclusive: New In The Loop Poster
Capaldi and Co. pose for posterity

11 March 2009  |  Written by Phil de Semlyen

Armando Iannucci's political comedy  In The Loop hits our screens next month, and here's an exclusive look at the poster soon to be adorning a bus stop near you.

It doesn't continue with the Obama-style riff of the early promo, but the poster's garlanding of stars will hopefully pique people's interest in what is one of the sharpest, most acidic political satires since Bob Roberts.

Closely resembling acclaimed BBC comedy, The Thick Of It, In The Loop follows the scheming of the US and British governments to contrive a war in the Middle East. Peter Capaldi reprises his Thick Of It role as sweary svengali Malcolm Tucker, and James Gandolfini plays General Miller, a fierce opponent of the war, with Tom Hollander caught somewhere in the maelstrom as meek-mannered Development Minister Simon Foster.

In The Loop is released in the UK on April 17. For more on the film click here.
