New Wolverine Poster Online
The claws are our master!

31 January 2009  |  Written by Helen O'Hara  |  Source: Superhero Hype

The new poster for X-Men Origins: Wolverine is online - and let's put it this way: if this guy offers you a knuckle sandwich, it's best to say no.

The film's due out on May 1, but this teaser one-sheet is the first official poster to hit the net. While the film's had recent reshoots (or additional shooting, depending on who you talk to) to complete a few key scenes, the bulk of filming was finished last year and a trailer's already been released (see our super-exhaustive trailer breakdown here), so this is officially late.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is out on May 1, so we'll see then if the film lives up to the true-to-its-origins promise of this poster.

Miller '82
The poster, to me, seems to riff on the Wolverine (limited series) #1 cover by Frank Miller, way back in 1982. I am thinking a lot went into this and that someone somewhere did a bit of homework on this poster. More

Er, ELEKTRA. Y'know what I'm sayin? Meanwhile back at the Batcave, check out Traileraddict for the new GI-JOE TRAILER which looks pretty darn cool, and the superbowl spot for TRANSFORMERS 2 which has some jaw droppin splosions for your enjoyment, and finally TheMovieBox.net has a drooly new tv spot for STAR TREK with quite a few new scenes spliced in. Very effective poster
You can feel the menace in Wolverine just by the poster alone...and if a poster can do that then you know the film will either have the same effect or be better... More

The trailer looked really good. The poster is fairly standard. Still looking forward to it though. More

That's all you need!
The claws! I'm there. But lets hope the studio heads (Fox are c*&ts trust me, I know!) haven't screwed us all over and the film is worth seeing. More

No title?
That's brave! They're obviously confident that the character (and his claws) have become iconic since the first X-Men. Anyway, looking forward to the film. Looks good. More
