Katie Cassidy Joins Revenge Of The Nerds
Playing a sexy sorority leader

21 September 2006  |  Written by   |  Source: Variety

Katie Cassidy, who was recently on screen as Adam Sandler’s grown-up daughter in Click, has been picked to star as a sorority head in Fox Atomic’s remake of Revenge Of The Nerds.

She’s the first announced casting for the film, which sees a pack of geeky types and outcasts create their own fraternity to compete with the sports-loving jocks who rule their college.

It’s not the first time we’ll see Cassidy on screen as a sorority queen, or in a remake – she’s also appearing in Glen Morgan and James Wong’s redo of Black Christmas.

About time!
Finally! A completely valid and necessary remake in modern cinema! What amazes me is that it took so long for them to realise the contempary potential of the much-maligned classic on modern audiences. Thank Heavens!!! Actually, I'm lying. This is the worst idea since I found out about that cgi bee movie with Seinfield in it. What the Hell is wrong with studios??? More
