Mary Stuart Masterson has secured the cash to make her previously announced drama The Cake Eaters. And now she’s found herself some rising talent to help bake – sorry, make – the movie.

X3’s Aaron Stanford and Panic Room’s Kristen Stewart will star in the movie, which sees Guy (Jayce Bartok, who also wrote the film) return home to his small town after chasing his dream in the city. Stanford is Beagle, his weird brother, who falls for a seriously ill girl named Georgia (Stewart).

"I couldn't think of two better-suited young actors than Aaron and Kristen to take on Jayce's unforgettable characters," producer Elisa Pugliese told The Hollywood Reporter.
