The cast of Rod Lurie’s boxing-based drama Resurrecting The Champ is getting even bigger.

Already aboard are Josh Hartnett, Samuel L Jackson, Cold Case’s Kathryn Morris and Alias’ Rachel Nichols.

Now that list has grown to include Alan Alda, who last appeared in cinemas in Scorsese’s The Aviator. He’s also been busy on TV, playing a Republican presidential hopeful on The West Wing.

Lurie plans to kick off shooting in June.
