Comic-Con: First Look At Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman revealed

Batman-V-Superman-Trinity

Day three of Comic-Con is traditionally the biggest day of the 'Con, and it kicked off in spectacular fashion today when Zack Snyder dropped by and brought with him the first footage from the currently-filming Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

The panel began with concept art from the film - quick shots of Batman standing by his Batmobile, a shot of Superman stumbling out of a ship in what appeared to be Arctic tundra while carrying someone in his arms - but it was the footage that pretty much blew the roof right off Hall H.

It was short but cut right to the heart of the matter. Set at night, in pouring rain, it begins on a rooftop with Ben Affleck’s Batman – in souped-up armour much like he wields in Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, including glowing eyes – pulling a tarpaulin off the Bat-Signal. It shines into the sky, and then, illuminated against the clouds, flecked with lightning, standing inside the symbol, is Henry Cavill’s Superman. And he does not look happy, his eyes glowing red with a burgeoning heat-vision ray. The camera tracks in on Batman’s face as he grimaces... and cut to black.

No dialogue at this point, so there’s no idea of what Affleck sounds like as Batman, or indeed a wider sense of the story, but the message is clear: Clark and Bruce are going to face off, and Bruce has enhanced his Batsuit to compensate for the most powerful man alive.

After that, Snyder also brought out Cavill, Affleck and Gal Gadot – with the first look at the actress as Wonder Woman flashing around the cavernous arena on screens to say a quick hello. And then, like that – just like the Caped Crusader himself – they were gone. But it’s quite a start for a day that will feature all of the Avengers on stage later on. The gauntlet has been well and truly thrown down.

While I like the new WW costume.... Gal Gadot is still far too small and skinny to make a truly convincing Wonder Woman. She looks more like Barbie, Warrior Princess then Wonder Woman, Amazonian Ass Kicker. More

WOW!
Personally I love the look they have given Wonder Woman, the muted colours fit perfectly with the look established in Man of Steel. I have seen the footage and the atmosphere of the two heroes facing off is intense. One minor quibble with Empire's description, Superman is hovering not standing in the light when the Bat-symbol is switched on. This is easily my most anticipated forthcoming movie. More

RE: Gal Gadot is going to make this box office gold.
My only issue with this is that Warner Bros appear to think that the film is coming out in April 2015, rather than April 2016, based on the way they're plugging it. Is this a vain attempt to try and steal some of Marvel's thunder, as otherwise Comic-Con 2014 would've been 'uncontested'? This is a total shot in the dark but could the film be ready for next summer and will be released with dramatic fanfare, to perhaps gazump Avengers 2? (Personally I don't believe that could happen, but I just fi More

Sounds amazing...
and I really do think WW looks great. Snyder's fantasism not having to blend with Nolan's realism may well ensure for a much more fun ride than MoS. More

Will there be some guff reason as to why the WW on her belt doesn't mean what we think it does? More

Said it before and I'll say it again,
Gal gadot looks like a terrible choice for Wonder Woman. Then they show the first pic of Wonder Woman and we get...the Gladiatress!!!! There isn't even a hint of blue there! I'm not much of a fan of Wonder Woman, but if I'm pissed, what are the hardcore making of it?! Sure I'll go see this movie, but for #€$^> sake! At least make look slightly like her character and not an extra out of frickin Pompeii!! More
