Comic-Con: New Image Of Ben Affleck As Batman Revealed
Check out the Batdimples on Bruce

25 July 2014  |  Written by Ben Kirby

Even if he doesn’t look a day over 40, Batman turns 75 this year - and to mark the occasion, a new picture of Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader has been unveiled.

The picture was first released at the DC booth on the main floor at Comic-Con, but it’s just been tweeted by Zack Snyder, director of the forthcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. And while it doesn’t give away much more than the first picture of Batfleck, which debuted a few months back, this one is a) in colour, and b) gives us a sense that this Batman boasts a chin that could give Bruce Campbell sleepless nights.

At present, the Warner Bros. panel at Comic-Con is scheduled for Saturday and we’re told that there will be no Dawn Of Justice presence there. But it is Batman’s birthday, after all - and while we’re not expecting The Joker to burst out of a cake on stage, it’s hard to imagine that DC/Warners wouldn’t show up with something.

Also, Dwayne Johnson has just tweeted a picture of Superman fighting other DC characters Captain Marvel (it's complicated) and Black Adam, saying 'someone's gonna get it'. So, is this confirmation that The Rock is going to join the DC Movie Universe, as he's been strongly hinting for a while now? And if so, as which character? Perhaps all will be revealed on Saturday at the Warners panel.

What are your thoughts of the second image of Affleck’s Batman?

Holy Ball Bag Batman
I like it and think Batfleck will be great - but his chin does look a bit like a pair of shaved balls. Maybe that's how he'll be beaten Victor Freeze will make him cold and his chin will shrivel up. More

RE: Dwayne Johnson - Black Adam
He is so moody that even his chin is frowning ;-) Looking forward to it. Don't give the ass of the rat what any naysayers say. More

Loooooobbbbbbooooooo!!!
There's only one fraggin' bastich in the DC Universe The Rock should be playing, and that's Tha Main Man. Not in this film mind, needs a flick of his own, let him romp around space, GotG style, but with blackjack, and hookers. In fact forget the blackjack. More

Is this supposed to be ...
Batman? Or Judge Dredd? More

I was hoping for a bit more of a reveal on Bats' birthday...
however, given that it's comiccon weekend, then yeah it's likely they're holding back a bigger reveal for Saturday. The cowl looks like it has a kind of light felt texture, presumably so it won't be as shiny/reflective a dome as some previous incarnations. Also, I'll be damned if I ever tell Dwayne Johnson a secret?! More
