Bryan Singer Plans Days Of Future Past Director's Cut
Will Rogue fans see her scenes restored?

Though X-Men: Days Of Future Past has been a big success, one group of mutant fans were unhappy with how their favourite character appeared in the film. Which is to say: briefly. Now it appears those who wanted to see more of Anna Paquin’s power-siphoning Rogue may just get their wish, because producer Lauren Shuler Donner answered a question about a director’s cut on Twitter with promising news.

Whether this means that Rogue’s scenes – which included a subplot where Patrick Stewart’s Professor X and Ian McKellen’s Magneto team up to rescue her from a Sentinel-guarded prison in order to help the team keep Hugh Jackman’s Logan in the past – will be fully re-instated into the movie’s running time or whether they’ll simply show up on the Blu-ray remains to be seen. Either way, the Rogue squadron should finally get their wish and see more of her narrative.

Writer / producer Simon Kinberg commented, when the original story about Rogue being reduced to a cameo broke, that her replacement of the injured Kitty Pryde didn’t help the plot, so that might not make it beyond a deleted scenes collection. And we already know that will be present because director Bryan Singer recently tweeted about working on it.

There is no street date yet for any Days Of Future Past home entertainment release, because it’s still busy hoovering up cash at cinemas ($724 million and counting worldwide,) but it will likely hit shiny disc and other formats closer to Christmas.

RE: rogue
She Flies and has SuperStrength in the cartoon & comics because she uses her power on Ms.Marvel putting her in a coma - but as Ms.Marvel isn't part of Fox or the x-men movies I guess that why these have been left out until now More
