Director John Carney enjoyed a big, musical-spawning hit with Once, so we can understand why he might want to go to the well again with Begin Again. The film, which was once called Can A Song Save Your Life? has posted its first UK trailer online.

Begin Again follows Greta (Keira Knightley), who heads to New York with her long-time rock star boyfriend (Adam Levine), seduced by dreams of making it together in the Big Apple. But she’s heartbroken when he dumps her for a big solo contract that promises even more fame and fortune. When she’s about to move back to London, she meets down-on-his-luck record producer Dan (Mark Ruffalo), who has been sacked from his high-profile job. Dan hears Greta sing during an open mic night and realises she has true talent. They decide to turn the streets of New York into one big recording studio to give their careers one final shot.

Carney wrote and directed this one, which also features Hailee Steinfeld, Catherine Keener, Mos Def, CeeLo Green and James Corden. Begin Again will warble on to our screens on July 11.
