Gravity-floats-among-relentless-kerrang-awards

Those hard-rocking (and metalling) types known as our stable mates at Kerrang! have announced their Relentless Kerrang! Awards shortlist, and nestled among their choices for Best Video, Best Live Band and Best British Band are some film and TV nominations. Gravity, Dallas Buyers Club and Metallica: Through The Never are among the big screen nominees.

They’re not the only films nominated in the eclectic list, though, as The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and The Lego Movie also made the cut. As for TV, some familiar names cropped up including Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones, Orange Is The New Black, True Detective and The Walking Dead.

The awards themselves will be handed out on June 12 at London’s Troxy, with Blitz Kids, 30 Seconds To Mars, My Chemical Romance, Avenged Sevenfold, You Me At Six, Baby Godzilla, Paramore, Green Day, Metallica, and Iron Maiden amongst the other nominees for what promises to be a night many will remember and many more will not remember if they party hard enough. For full details and to vote, check out the new issue of the magazine or head to their awards site. Voting closes on June 5.
