Zack Snyder Finds a Cyborg
Ray Fisher cast in Batman/Superman

Zack-Snyder-Finds-A-Cyborg

Chalk up yet another character for Zack Snyder’s follow-up to Man Of Steel, and another potential member of the Justice League showing up on screen. Theatre veteran Ray Fisher has been hired to play Cyborg.

Though he’ll only be a relativity minor part in the new film, Cyborg is definitely part of the League, which just adds more fuel to the speculative fire that the new Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman outing is either set to spin off various members of the DC superhero organisation for their own films or is a stealth Justice League film in its own right. Elements of Cyborg’s background were layered into Man Of Steel with, for example, mention of S.T.A.R. Labs. So he might get a more prominent role down the line.

Fisher, who was also recently mentioned as one of those in contention for a lead in Star Wars: Episode VII, has been better known for his work on the stage than the screen, drawing attention for playing Muhammad Ali in Fetch Clay, Make Man.

He joins a cast that already includes Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons and Holly Hunter. Snyder is at work even now on the film, which is set to hit our cinemas on April 29 head of its May 6 debut across the pond.

RE:
L: jem0013 What a bunch of moaning minnies. Snyder may not be perfect but Whedon is far from that too with his fluffy Avengers. He was lucky that the likes of Jon Favreau built up the characters for him and frankly I think they have gotten worse as the films have gone on with the exception of Cap America. Snyder will have a good team behind him and with his visually superior style to Whedon this will do well. Don't grt me wrong as I enjoyed Avengers as I'm dure I'll enjoy this one but More

RE: Zack Snyder Finds a Cyborg
Superman. Batman. Wonder Woman. Cyborg. Justice League. While it looks like Warner Bros. is hoping for a DC team-up to rival Marvel's Avengers, there's one terrible factor at play here that must never be forgotten. With the excitement that comes with each new announcement, just repeat these six words, and your hopes will quickly come crashing back down to Earth... "Zack Snyder is directing this film." More

Ugghh....
With you guys on this. The more I hear about it the worse it sounds. They should have just made Dark Knight Returns and had Bat's beating the crap out of Supes and everyone would have been happy. More

Pfft....
This film isnt out for 2 years. Surely by that time no one will give a tits. Henry Cavill-Bundersnatch-Fastenbender has no charisma and looks like a downies Hugh Grant. Matt Damons dad is too weak to play Batman. This movie will crash the entire Hollywood industry and cause WW3. More

RE: Franchise killing car crash
I couldn't agree more. Superman shouldn't have to share the screen with other superheroes. He is THE superhero. I thought Man of Steel was ok. The krypton opening was crap but the rest was a good start for a new franchise. I'm sure Henry Cavill must be gutted the way this is all panning out. It can't be what he signed up for. Warners are sprinting before they can walk, hoping to catch up with Marvel but Marvel put in years of careful planning to get to Avengers. This is just greed and stupidity More

Franchise killing car crash
This is gearing up to be an epic car crash which I predict will do to each of the franchises (well, Batman and Superman are the only valuable ones) what Batman and Robin did to Batman. i) On the basis of Man of Steel it is going for a realistic tone, yet they are bringing in more characters which have no grounding in reality even if you do make the leap of an extra-terrestrial being coming to earth with powers enhanced by our sun. Wonder Woman, Cyborg? ii) I'd like to say Snyder is a direc More
