Wreck-It Ralph 2 Powers Up
Bowsers!

All is pretty rosy in the Disney Animation garden at the moment. There are strong rumours of a sequel to its colossal hit Frozen and now, according to composer Henry Jackman, a Wreck-It Ralph 2 is in the works too.

The first slice of 8-bit adventure grossed $471m worldwide, a more than respectable return on its $150m+ budget. It wowed nostalgic gamers and dazzled kids, and, according to Jackman, will be doing so all over again.

“I can’t tell you more, not because I’m being coy, but I believe that it is officially on the cards,” the Wreck-It Ralph composer told Collider. “I don’t know any more other than a story is indeed being written. I’d be very surprised not to. I’m not blowing my own trumpet. Forget about the music. Just the movie itself I thought was a fantastically imaginative and creative piece of work.”

If you haven’t seen the first film, it starred John C. Reilly as a video-game villain questioning his place in the gaming universe and wondering if, perhaps, there isn’t more to life than smashing up buildings and being repeatedly bested by squeaky-clean hero Fix-It Felix, Jr. (Jack McBrayer). In cohoots with Sarah Silverman’s Vanellope von Schweetz, he sets off on a life-changing adventure across numerous gaming worlds.

So which games would you like to see the sequel riffing on?  Post your suggestions for Disney in the usual spot.

Look to the extras....
I believe on one of the films blu-ray extras the writer/director stated that he wanted to have a GTA based world in the first film but it missed out. I would suggest that therefore it would be a shoo-in for the sequel. More

Ehh
Maybe it will be about games for more than 30 per cent of the running time instead of turning into generic pap More
