Latest Trailer For The Expendables 3 Hits
One last ride?

You may have seen the cast of The Expendables 3 yesterday. And by that, we mean that they showed up in character portraits for the movie, not that they popped down to your local Nandos for a chicken dinner. If you were wondering when the next trailer for the film might be arriving online, quit your quizzifying, because the new roll call clip is here.

Nothing of the plot is in evidence; this trailer mostly opts for a series of shots from the film and then a list of the stars. Because, as we all know, we’re really just in it for the people involved, which in this case involves Expenda-veterans Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Jet Li, Randy Couture and Dolph Lundgren joined by such new franchise arrivals as Antonio Banderas, Kelsey Grammer, Mel Gibson, Kellan Lutz, Harrison Ford and Ronda Rousey.

But if you do want to know the story, read on: The Expendables 3 finds our heroes targeted by an old friend turned vicious enemy. Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who co-founded the original core group with Stallone’s Barney Ross, has since become an arms trader and decides to take out the gang. So they have to recruit some new blood to fight an old-school threat. Most intriguingly, the trailer says this is their “last ride” so either that means they’re planning to bow out after this one, or something very bad happens to the group bus at the end.

Things will go boom again on August 15.

Looks fun to me
This looks a lot slicker and brighter than especially Expendables 2, which was so grainy and grey and drab looking, plus I feel that this is a director who may finally do justice to the idea. Also, I noticed by looking closely at the trailer that it seems like they are busting Wesley Snipes out of jail in the movie, which is freaking hilarious. More

Why
Is Kelsey Grammer in it? Isn't it supposed to be "hard" action stars, of which (other than playing Beast in X-men) he has no experience? More

the best a man can get?
oh lord, this looks like an ad for a new Gillette or something! Hey! We're buff! Yo! We rock! Hey! I gotta BIG gun! Rocky, He-Man, Transporter man!, Dr Henry Jones Jnr (why Harrison? WHY?), Terminator, Puss in Boots!, Mad Martin Riggs, Dr Frasier Crane... And some other blokes that just make up the rest of the team. Could be a good post pub Bluray but as for the cinema? err no ta. More
