Brad Pitt Could Be Going Back To War
For a new World War II thriller from Steve Knight

Brad-Pitt-Could-Be-Going-Back-To-War

As if scalping Nazis in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds and then going up against them again in David Ayer’s upcoming tank thriller Fury (or whatever we're calling it today) wasn’t enough, it would seem that Brad Pitt is looking to serve in World War II once more. He’s circling an untitled script that comes courtesy of Steven Knight.

The writer, who scripted Dirty Pretty Things, Eastern Promises and more recently pulled directing duty on Jason Statham pic Hummingbird, is back on script-only assignment for this one, which GK Films is now trying to house with one of the studios. Pitt’s potential involvement will no doubt push that along, and will impact the hunt for a big name director to take on the project.

But what it’s about? No one is saying yet. Deadline reports that it’s a romantic thriller set during the war, but no further details have been released. Pitt will next be seen in the aforementioned Fury, which may well go by another name when it arrives in our cinemas on October 24.

Knight, meanwhile, has his latest writing/directing gig Locke, starring Tom Hardy and some other people's voices, set for release on April 18 and is behind the script for Helen Mirren drama The Hundred-Foot Journey, which is arriving on September 12.
