Kevin Spacey Will Be Winston Churchill
In new biopic Captain Of The Gate

Kevin Spacey Will Be Winston Churchill

After spending two seasons portraying one of the most sinister politicians ever to offer asides to camera in the US version of House Of Cards, Kevin Spacey is planning to stay in the political arena. This time, however, he'll be playing Winston Churchill who, while no less complicated, was A) real and B) slightly more familiar with the concept of morality.

He's attached to star in Captain Of The Gate, written by Ben Kaplan, which looks to chronicle Churchill's rise to power and opposition to parliament as he encouraged Britain to stand up to Hitler and his plans for world domination.

Exactly which period of Churchill's life will be covered remains to be seen, but it'll be interesting to see someone like Spacey tackle such a recognisable figure. As for who'll direct the film? That has yet to be revealed.

Spacey is still on Netflix screens in House Of Cards and will be back in cinemas for Horrible Bosses 2, which arrives here on November 28.
