Robin Wright And Sam Worthington Head To Everest

Sam Worthington And Robin Wright Head To Everest

Though director Baltasar Kormakur has already started shooting, shepherding his cast on their quest to conquer Everest, he's still recruiting new faces, and Sam Worthington and Robin Wright are the latest additions to the mountaineering drama.

Kormakur guides an ensemble that includes Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Jake Gyllenhaal, Martin Henderson, Emily Watson and Thomas Wright around a schedule that takes in Pinewood Studios, Rome's Cinecitta Studios, locations in the Italian Dolomites and some in Nepal at the foot of the iconic rock itself.

The film adapts the story made famous by John Krakauer's book Into Thin Air, in which two separate expeditions ran into tragic difficulties with life-threatening consequences. As you may have seen from the image we debuted last month, they're not skimping on the snowy conditions for the cast.

Everest is set to arrive in 3D and IMAX on February 25, 2015.
