Dwayne Johnson Premieres New Hercules Poster
Become the man you were born to be...

With one Hercules film, Renny Harlan's The Legend Of Hercules, already been and gone with little box office glory in the US, Paramount and Brett Ratner are hoping for bigger and better things from their own take on the legendary hero. So who better to lift the promotional barbell than Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, debuting a poster for the film via his busy Twitter account.

This take on Hercules, adapted from the Radical Comics title, finds him as a battle-weary warrior instead of the usual demi-god. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules' help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail, he has to become a hero again – and discovers that the real battle will be for his soul...

With Ian McShane, John Hurt, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Aksel Hennie, Tobias Santelmann, Rebecca Ferguson, Joe Anderson and Ingrid Bolso Berdal in the cast, Hercules will stomp into our cinemas on July 25.

This is...
a horrible poster. Worse than that Nicholas Cage one with the fire and stuff. My eyes watered voluntarily just looking at it. More
