Exclusive Blue Ruin Trailer
Hotly-tipped US indie thriller gets a promo

It's had a teaser and now buzzy American indie Blue Ruin gets the full trailer treatment. Mood is still king here but there’s more storyline creeping out amid the slow-burn southern atmospherics. Click below to see for yourself.

The film follows a hazy character called Dwight Evans (Macon Blair) who returns to his hometown angrier and hairier than he went in. Why? Because bad things have befallen the people he holds dear and he's got payback in mind.

'This is a guy who is totally out of his depth,' says Blair of the character. 'At the outset Dwight is scared, hesitant, regretful and devoid of toughness. I did not have to try hard to locate the emotional reality of that. Over the course of the film, he transforms into something else entirely.'  See for yourself when Blue Ruin arrives in UK cinemas on May 2.So, Winter’s Bone meets Point Blank then? Find out when it gets a UK on May 2.
