Liam Neeson's plane-bound thriller Non-Stop is out this week, and he's also just finished shooting his third movie (after Non-Stop and Unknown), Run All Night, with director Jaume Collet-Serra. He's a voice in The Lego Movie, a villain in Seth McFarlane's A Million Ways To Die In The West, and has crime drama A Walk Among The Tombstones and Martin Scorsese's Silence coming up. Oh, and there's also the matter of Taken 3. But there's always room for one more, right? Somehow, among all that lot, Neeson has also found time to show up in the Entourage movie.
Neeson was spotted on the LA set of Entourage filming a scene with Jeremy Piven, who plays neurotic movie agent Ari Gold. Neeson's would appear to be a small role, since he slotted it in during his Non-Stop promotional duties. The speculation is that he's likely playing himself or at least, an exaggerated, starry version of himself, since he reportedly drives a gold Bentley in the film. Ari Gold, as a recently appointed studio chief, has a shiny new red Ferrari.
Just a cameo for Neeson then, in all likelihood, but given the above details it sounds like a laugh. The wider film, of course, charts the shifting fortunes of wannabe actor-turned-star Vincent Chase (Adrien Grenier) and the assembled friends, agents and hangers-on who orbit around his solar centre.
Along with PIven, the rest of the TV regulars, including Kevin Connolly’s dedicated pal/manager Eric “E” Murphy, Kevin Dillon’s dim-but-doting older brother Johnny “Drama” Chase and Jerry Ferrara’s dogsbody/mogul Turtle are all appearing again, along with Perrey Reeves as Ari’s wife Melissa and Constance Zimmer as studio boss Dana Gordon. New to the cast are Billy Bob Thornton as a billionaire looking to fund Vincent’s new take on Dracula, and Haley Joel Osment in a so-far unspecified role.
Warners have just anounced the release date for Entourage as June 12, 2015. And, as we said before, we'll next see Neeson in Non-Stop, which is out on Friday.
