New Captain America: The Winter Soldier Posters
Update: Now with added Sundance! And Falcon!

Update: Robert Redford's S.H.I.E.L.D. wonk Alexander Pierce is the latest to get his own Captain America: The Winter Soldier poster. Click below for scrutinisation purposes.

Nature's Black Widows aren't well-known for their flying abilities, but it looks like Marvel's Scarlett Johansson version is perfectly happy in mid-air, making your jaw drop. She's the star of one of many new Captain America: The Winter Soldier posters - now featuring a decent amount of strutting and a tiny Robert Redford - and you'll want to look at all of them ASAP.

What can we take from these? Well, Black Widow seems to have gone on the Photoshop diet, but aside from her unlikely waist looks pretty darn cool. Nick Fury's signature cool overcoat is looking more serious of purpose than ever. And Cap seems weighed down by the cares of the modern world, and also the shield on his back.

As these one-sheets hint, the new adventures of the First Avenger will be a bit darker and more morally confused than its Stars-and-Stripes waving predecessor. This time, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), AKA Cap, discovers something rotten in the state of S.H.I.E.L.D., and also has to deal with the reappearance of his old friend Bucky (Sebastian Stan), now brainwashed and cybernetically modified and transformed into the titular Winter Soldier.

Marvel's latest also features Anthony Mackie as The Falcon (who has just gotten his own poster, which you can see above), along with Frank Grillo, Cobie Smulders and Emily Van Camp, and you can read lots more about it in last month's Empire's iPad version.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier starts off the summer blockbuster season on the early, early date of March 26, 2014.

RE: Why is SJ standing like a porn star?
She's not 'standing' though! She's "in mid air", according to the article. More

RE: Why is SJ standing like a porn star?
I thought the same thing. It reminded me of the pose Alice Eve pulls in Star Trek Into Darkness. More

Why is SJ standing like a porn star?
I know this stuff is marketed to fanboys who still live with their parents but having the men walk normally and SJ posing in a skin tight outfit with her legs bent to just cover her crotch is pretty cynical. But it's okay because she beats up a few men in the movie so is a clear feminist. Grow up, Marvel... More

Blimey!
A redheaded Scarlett Johansson in a catsuit is worth the ticket price alone! And then throw in Chris Evans as well (I'm an equal opportunities guy) 😉 More

I must agree with you, GrizBe. Yes, not everyone knows who the Winter Soldier is, but there's no need to spoil it in the article for others, Empire. Like my stupid self, I went onto wikipedia as soon as the subtitle was announced to see who this guy was. The film will still have surprises, so don't let this deter you! More
