Thor 3's Writing Team Set
Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost on script patrol

Thor-3-Writing-Team-Set

The wheels are turning again at Marvel, where there are already early discussions about a third Captain America film. With the success of Thor: The Dark World, the company is also gearing up another trip to Asgard, making it all but guaranteed that two of the most popular Avengers will be getting solo films in Phase Three.

Thanks to his multi-film contract, Chris Hemsworth is surely a lock to once more heft Mjolnir, and we’re optmistic that there is no Thor 3 without a certain Mr. Thomas William Hiddleston bringing the cunning trickster Loki back for more mischief. After all, (spoiler alert!) given what happened at the end of The Dark World, we can only imagine who he’ll be impersonating this time.

Kevin Feige is, of course, overseeing things, and has hired from within for the writing staff, pairing Christopher Yost (who worked on the last film) and Marvel executive Craig Kyle.

“I am proud of Craig and have enjoyed working with him over these past years,” Feige said in a statement picked up by Variety. “His creative instincts have helped shape Thor and Thor: The Dark World at every level of the filmmaking process. The entire team at Marvel is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher on the forthcoming chapter of Thor’s adventure.”

Naturally, there are no release date details yet, and Hemsworth, like Chris Evans, will first work on The Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Still, it’s good to know that we can expect more Thor in our lives in future.

RE: Great News
100% agree with the last two posts... but that's because I like Hemsworth the way 15yr old girls like One Direction, but not in a mental twitter-abuse way! More

RE: Great News
Hiddelston does his job well, but people do, indeed, give Hemsworth too little credit. The man is perfect for the role. A Thor movie would be impossible without Loki, for multiple reasons, but the focus shifted wayy too much on Loki in the last movie. More

Great News
Personally with the exception of the Avengers I think the Thor films are the best of the Marvel films so far. Don't think Hemsworth gets enough credit and Hiddleston too much, also like the humour they chuck in, bring on Thor3! More

RE: Thor 3
L: LadyThor I sure hope that the writers for Thor 3 remember that the movie is about THOR and that people actually go to the movie to see Thor and the man who portrays that character so beautifully. Beautifully" is definitely the word! quote]ORIGINAL: cliff126 If they have another Thor film, please stop with the damn humour in almost every scene. I don't want constant tonal shifts-give me some serious stuff! otally agree, though I loved the 2nd film, the humour balance needs to More

It's time. Bring on the End of Days.
Ragnarok!!! Show us Thor and Asgard going to war with Loki. Potentially (SPOILERS) killing off Thor and making room for more marvel characters to introduce. More

Thor 3 and high hopes
I sure hope the writer remember that despite how the movie is called and the obvious fact that there will always be who likes action over storyline, brawn over brain etc etc... well, SOME people will go for Thor, but some will go ONLY for Loki and without him wouldn't be interested at all. Just as I never was in any other comic book movie before or after. Like it or not that's how it is. More

I dunno, I had doubts there would be another Thor -- read in one of your issues that Feige said there was a set number of spaces for the next wave of Marvel films. I'm glad of it, but. Thor only gets better the more you see of him. ....as does Loki... and HIddeston. Especially Hiddleston. Pretty keen to see more of Sif, too. Is she badass or what? Best bit of movie-related news I've read all day. More
