New Trailer For 300: Rise Of An Empire
'For glory's sake... WAR.'

Put aside any thoughts you may have of Spartan warriors petting kittens or getting on with their crochet projects: THIS! IS! The new trailer for 300 follow-up Rise Of An Empire, and it comes loaded with bloody, sweaty, steel-clashing imagery and imperious voice-overs. And, er, Ozzy Osbourne.

With warrior King Leonidas and his brave soldiers dead, we follow what happens when Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) swears vengeance in the name of the mourning Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey, who soon picks up weapons of her own) and takes up arms against a sea of invading Persians and by opposing, ends them - he hopes.

There’s also something of an origin story for Persian god-wannabe Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), who himself deals with the death of his father by falling under the ambitious influence of naval commander Artemisia (Eva Green), dabbling in dark powers and becoming the powerful, crazed, golden monster we first met in 300.

Naturally, after defeating Leonidas, he’s ready to conquer all of Greece, so Themistokles will have to stop him, and that means fighting on the ocean as well as the land. To the sea, people!

Boasting a cast that also includes Hans Matheson, David Wenham (back from 300 as Dilios) and Jack O’Connell, 300: Rise Of An Empire is out on March 7.

New Trailer For 300: Rise Of An Empire
Looks like second rate DTV rubbish. I am not much of a fan of the first but at least it had a certain vibe to the trailer. More

RE: No Country for Old Spartan!
You have a very peculiar idea of what country music sounds like... (Although that is a very peculiar version of War Pigs) More
