First Guardians Of The Galaxy Promotional Images

Few words bring joy to the heart more slowly than the term "promotional tie-in", but when it's Guardians Of The Galaxy's promo materials we're talking about and they're offering a closer look at the key players, excitement is mustered an awful lot more easily. On that note, Comic Book Resources has a few early images of Marvel's next marketing drive that you can take a close look at below by clicking on the images below.

The Guardians crew, who we clapped eyes on earlier this month when Disney released a first-look image, are Zoe Saldana's Gamora, Chris Pratt's Star-Lord, Bradley Cooper's Rocket Raccoon, Dave Batista's Drax the Destroyer and Vin Diesel's Groot.

As for the synopsis, the press release reads thusly:

"An action-packed epic space adventure, Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the universe.

To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits – Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand – with the galaxy’s fate in the balance."

The rest of the cast includes Lee Pace (as Ronan), Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou and Ophelia Lovibond. James Gunn is the director, and Guardians Of The Galaxy is out in the UK on August 1.

Not Sure I Want To See A Teaser.....
...to a teaser trailer. I want to see how a snarling little fur-ball shooting some kind of laser cannon, is going to play out on screen. I'm not convinced this is going to work...Should have had the original GOTG line-up, I know they have Yondo, but would have liked Vance Astro, Starhawk and Charlie 27 at least. "I am GROOOT" will not be great if said 20 times in the film by Vin. More

I would like to see some footage, not necessarily a full length trailer just yet, just something to get a my spider sense tingling More
