To remind us all that the film is headed our way this year, Tom Cruise’s official Twitter feed has posted a new picture from his latest, sci-fi thriller Edge Of Tomorrow. Cruise can be found getting ready for battle alongside Emily Blunt below.

Edge Of Tomorrow, adapted from Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s novel All You Need Is Kill, finds Cruise as Bill Cage, a soldier happy to be working far from the front lines of a brutal war against powerful aliens. But Cage, who has scored a plum job overseeing the army’s PR, makes a series of mistakes and ends up in full battle armour on the front line, where he promptly dies.

Caught in a time loop, he finds himself back in time and begins to figure out the secret to fighting the bad guys, smack-dab in the middle of one of the most important skirmishes of the conflict. Along for the ride is Special Forces fighter Rita Vrataski (Blunt) who somehow understands what he's going through.

With Doug Liman calling the shots and Bill Paxton, Lara Pulver, Jeremy Piven and Charlotte Riley all aboard, Edge Of Tomorrow is set to hit our screens on May 30.
