New Muppets Most Wanted Promo
It's an outrage!

If there was one minor regret from the otherwise inspired batch of gags that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler unloaded at the Golden Globes awards ceremony this past weekend, it was that Fey, who appears in the upcoming Muppets Most Wanted, didn’t get any of her newfound felt friends to show up. Still, when you have a TV spot as fun as this one, who needs stage appearances?

Shown not-so-coincidentally during one of the approximately 17,000 commercial breaks in the show, this new spot takes a similar approach to the previous one that poked fun at ‘net-based critics and responses, but gives it an extra twist in complaints that the film has not been nominated for more than 247 awards. Of course, given that it hasn’t even come out yet, that’s easy to explain.

The sheer joy and biting accuracy with which the new promo spoofs Internet comments makes this one of our favourites for a long time. And no, that doesn’t make us 'igorent'.

With Ricky Gervais, Tom Hiddleston, Stanley Tucci, Ty Burrell, Lady Gaga, Ray Liotta, Frank Langella and Jemaine Clement all popping up as co-stars or cameos, Muppets Most Wanted will be out on March 28.
