New Rio 2 Trailer Flies Online
Blu & Jewell are off to the Amazon

April brings the next instalment of Fox and Blue Sky’s feathered rom-com Rio, which finds nervy bird Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) living happily ever after with Jewel (Anne Hathaway) and their brood. Then they discover that they might not be the last of their species after all, and set off to find other macaws in the Amazon. The new trailer has arrived and can be watched below.

While we wonder whether Jewel was telling fibs about being the last of her kind given that she has at least a father (Andy Garcia) and an ex-boyfriend (Bruno Mars) lurking about in the trees, it's probably best not to try to read conspiracy theories into stories like this. We're sure Jewel has her reasons...

Joined by friends such as Nico (Jamie Foxx), Pedro (Will I Am) and Luiz (Tracey Morgan), our pair and their kids make the journey, leading to the discovery of Jewel’s family. And though the feathered friends have enough to do coping with their new situation, their old rival Nigel (Jemaine Clement) is also still around, this time fancying himself as a Shakespearian actor. For some reason. Rio 2 is scheduled to flap on to screens on April 4.
